The Dutrapack® is a flexible foil-package and has several advantages:

The price of this packaging is cheaper than tins. It can be used as a refill pack for the tins. Most foil packagings in the market cannot guarantee the same shelf life as a tin, but the Dutrapack foil packaging can! The Dutrapacks are very strong. Four Dutrapacks can for instance support the weight of a Mercedes Benz.

Sterilized cream
Just like full cream sweetened condensed milk, sterilized cream is ideal as a topping on desserts, confectionery products and fresh fruit. This product however has its own specific taste and texture. Sterilized cream is also an ideal ingredient in creamy sauces for pasta.

This product has a butterfat content of 23% (min.).

Cheese
The Netherlands are famous for their dairy products. A typical Dutch dairy product is cheese. The Gouda and Edam cheeses in particular are famous all over the world. Both these young cheeses taste mild and pure. Gouda has a butterfat percentage of 48% and Edam has a butterfat percentage of 40%.

Butter
Mild lactic butter is available salted as well as unsalted. The butter has a butterfat content of 82% (min.) and a maximum of moisture 16%.

Butter can be offered in portion cups or portion packs of 10 gram and in blocks of 25 kg. Both sizes are ideal for catering purposes.
Other consumer packages can be supplied upon request.

UHT - long life liquid milk
Milk - ready to use with an excellent creamy taste and a shelf life of 6 months. This is possible because of a special production process in which milk is heated for a very short time.

UHT milk is available in full cream (3.5% and 3.1%  (min.) butterfat), in half cream milk (1.55% (min.) butterfat) and skimmed milk (0.3% (min.) butterfat).

Sweetened condensed milk
This product has a long history. Sweetened condensed milk is the first method that was developed to preserve milk. For more than a hundred years this product has been consumed by itself or as an ingredient in various recipes. Its use as a topping on desserts, confectionery products and fresh fruit is especially popular all over the world.

Full cream sweetened condensed milk is available with 8% (min.) butterfat.

Full cream evaporated milk
Evaporated milk is obtained by the partial removal of water from milk. It is sealed in a container and subjected to heat treatment so that the product retains its natural rich taste while gaining a shelf life of 18 months.

Evaporated milk is ideal for use in cooking, when making desserts and for baking. Use undiluted in tea, coffee or cocoa. Full cream evaporated milk is available with 8 or 9% (min.) butterfat.

Half cream and non fat milk powder
On special request Imeko dairy products bv is able to supply all the package sizes mentioned under  full cream milk powder in half cream and low-fat milk powder.

The butterfat percentage of half cream milk powder is 11.5% (min.). Low-fat milk powder has a butterfat percentage of 1.25% (min.) only. On request extra calcium can be added.

Full cream milk powder
Full cream milk powder is available in regular as well as instant quality. Regular milk powder is made in the traditional way, and tastes creamier because of its compact volume. Instant milk powder has been available since the 1970's and is made in the same way as regular milk powder. Only 0.2% soya oil lecithin is added, ensuring that the powder dissolves quickly even in cold water.

Both products are made from fresh pure homogenized and pasteurized whole cow's milk. The milk is dried using a special spraying process, ensuring that all natural food elements like vitamins, minerals and proteins are preserved. Apart from the soya oil lecithin, which gives instant its special characteristics, no other additives or preservatives have been added.

1992   An important strategic alliance was concluded with a producer, ensuring access to raw materials and making it possible to expand the product range with various products.
1994   An extension of the product range with  sweetened condensed milk.
1995   An extension of the assortment with UHT: long-life liquid milk and cheese.
1997   Another important strategic alliance was formed with a producer.
1998   As a result, Imeko’s net (customs cleared) turnover increased from approximately 6 million Euro in 1993 to more than 43 million Euro in 1998.
1999   Upgrading and redesigning of the extensive range of products.
2000   For the last two years Imeko has managed to keep its turnover at its 1998 level. During this year Imeko moved its office from Leusden to Zwolle.
2001   Imeko dairy products bv is internationalizing its business by working with local producers: and packing dairy products locally.

History part 1/2
1964   Mr. J.W.M. Konings founded Imeko in the town of Amersfoort in Holland. The name Imeko is an acronym of the words: IMport / Export / KOnings.

The brand name KANNY was developed and export of regular full cream milk powder in 400g tins started to various clients in Sudan, which continues to this day. This shows the value of a brand name and proper marketing.

1973   The second brand name MORNY was developed, targeted at the Middle East.
1974   The company was transformed into a 'bv' (Limited Liability Company) after the death of the founder.
1979   Imeko started its own packing operation in the town of Barneveld in order to increase its market share.
1982   Imeko installed a second complete and automatic canning line.
1985   Imeko decided to start the development of a special foil ensuring a shelf life for milk powder identical to tins, which Imeko calls 'Dutrapack®'. The foil material is composed of 4 different layers. Preservation and other packing tests were carried out by the TNO institute, which confirmed the shelf life and considerable advantages of the packaging itself. This packing was and still is unique in the dairy market.

In 1985 Imeko developed a third brand: ANNIE. This brand was mainly targeted at the Far East.
1989   To obtain extra capital for foreign projects, the IMEKO Holding Company was transformed from a 'bv' into a 'nv' and 1,250,000 shares were launched on the public stock market in Amsterdam.
